Blush - Nude - Peach

This is probably my 4th blog entry on peach. A couple years ago it started coming around as an accent color, even a perfect pop in rich fall colors. Then paired with the grays and ivories was so gorgeous. Last year it was seen a ton with corals and now with the colorless world of nudes and blushes it is a great color to give some depth and contrast to the other tones. These photos were actually from two different weddings. The bouquets were from a recent July wedding at The Vista Ranch and Cellars. She worked in some vintage books and bud vases for her centerpieces and it was such a perfect style for a beautiful summer wedding. The rest of the photos were from a wedding this last September at The Evergreen Lodge. She had the same style flowers and it was just so refreshing to see them in a woodsy setting. There is just something about these peachy hues that just steal my heart!

Mint Green, Muted Coral and Pewter

Mint green is a childhood favorite color of mine and seeing it come back in weddings, nail polishes, jewelry, and even jeans, I can't get enough! Lauren was such an inspiration to work with because she has such a creative vision with her wedding details. Her wedding took place at The Evergreen Lodge, September 22nd. She accented bouquets with specialty ribbon from The Ribboniere in San Francisco. She chose a softer more colorless route with her bouquet and then more saturated corals and peaches for the bridesmaids. Her centerpieces were a mixture of gold urns and rectangle wood boxes that we incorporated all blush and mint flowers with pops of coral and even accents of fresh figs. The ceremony aisle was aligned with tree stumps with misc jars, vases and succulents set upon them. All of the reception tables were in a rectangle setting with bleached manaznita branches, silvery mercury votives and clusters of birch votives intermixed.

Rita and Stefan - Beach tones in Yosemite

My friends Rita and Stefan were married in Calcutta, India earlier in 2011. Rita is finishing her thesis with Harvard and Stefan is a professor at Berkley and between the friendships they have established in the US, they chose Yosemite for another celebration of their union. This was something we planned in just a couple of months as they were packing up to move to Europe for the summer and thanks to Skype, we were able to still have a face to face consultation and view specific flower combinations to help her decide. She loved the bright fresh tones of bold blues, spring greens and peach and we threw in some touches of Yosemite with scabiosa pods and coffee berries. They decided on a morning ceremony at Sentinel Beach following with brunch for their guests so they can enjoy their days throughout the park. Her choice for centerpieces was to create an overall larger scale look but it was made of various small vases so each guest was able to take one as their favor. Guests signed wooden puzzle pieces for the guest book, everyone made well wishes out of handmade butterflies and danced before continuing outside for a fun group shot with the falls as a backdrop. This was such an honor to be a witness into such an amazing couple with an incredible group of friends who traveled from very far distances to experience this amazing day as well.
