Mariellen and Blake - Union Hill Perfection
What can one possibly say when you are blessed enough to work at the unbelievable Union Hill Inn in Sonora, CA. Without adding a dash of anything, the venue speaks for itself. However, when you have a couple that was lucky enough to slide in for this date on a cancellation, you collaborate with their styles and magic happens. I really have no further words to describe the details...I believe this décor speaks for itself....

Hannah and John - Wawona Beauty
Now that we have such wonderful ways to scope out inspiration with blogs and pinterest, I am not sure I will ever get sick of eclectic styles. Hannah had such a vision with snippets of table setting accents, clusters of votives enhanced with hemp twine, specific flower choices in a PDF collection she emailed me and with combing through some notes we were able to take each piece and element and use it all in her décor. The setting was the Wawona Hotel in Yosemite, such a charming sweet backdrop with the ceremony facing the woods and the reception set on the lawn accompanied with activities and board games on picnic blankets. This all came together so beautifully, it certainly topped the list with an all time favorite! Farm wood tables, Russian Sage lining the aisle, random succulents, Olive foliage, rosemary place setting accents...ahhhh, Love!

Adria and Jayson - Vintage Modern with a Rock n' Roll Twist
Nothing makes the feel of a wedding more complete than representing the couples personalities throughout. Adria and Jayson completely rocked their whole style as their own. Shewas always in an adorable Anthropologie dress with vintage accessories and a half sleeved arm when we would meet to discuss all of the details of her day. It was the first wedding scheduled at the newly restored theater in downtown Merced which already screams vintage and with fun elements like bold fuchsias and purple florals with black and white chevron runners, it gave the settings a little pop. Jayson also brews his own beer with his Titan label so guests were able to enjoy the extra homespun touches by the couple. They chose to utilize the stage as for the ceremony and we framed the area with some large branchy floral displays and clustered up lots of silver mercury and candle accents. The officient was in such character he began the ceremony by reciting the catchy and famous lines from The Princess Bride and Adria used her lovely lil Darth Vader stationary for her vows. There was a vintage car waiting for them outside so we can cruise to some of Adrias favorite local spots to get some photos and the car is so very old it required cranking it by hand to get the engine started! The guests enjoyed dinner in the lobby area of both up and downstairs followed by a variety of cakes and then back in to the theater for the dancing. Having the stage as the focal point was one of my favorite things I've enjoyed at any wedding....right down to her insane bouquet toss off of the balcony of the theaters upper deck!!!
