Maria and Jon - Romantic Style in Yosemite
This event will always be my perfect example of making sure my clients remember how important it is to communicate and keep exploring until you find exactly what you would like. While her colors have always remained the same as well as her actual flower choices but her style began with a very rustic modern look.
We were first going with large clear glass square vases filled with river rock and manzanita popping out with white orchids scattered on the branches. As she kept seeing wedding details she realized that wasn't as fitting for her look so soon we revamped some styling and moved on over to tall footed glass vases. Then one day it all came together for her as she saw all of her details turning in to a very romantic and charming finish by pulling in milk glass. She utilized all of her own pieces, put together her seating chart, photo table and table names in various gold frames, used the gorgeous espresso brown satin chair covers, add lace accents and voila!!!
Wedding Colors: espresso brown, jade green, soft pinks, creams
Venue and Catering: The Ahwahnee Hotel, Yosemite
Flowers: Ranunculus, Star Jasmine, peonies, cymbidium orchids, tulips, hydrangea, roses
Books and Cameras
Esmeralda and Nasim were such a breath of fresh air to work just within the 3 weeks we began communicating before their Monday Yosemite wedding. They did such a perfect job on pulling in elements that reflect who they are and what they love as well as still fitting within the style of the venue. Both are in the industry of writing and photography so what better way to enhance that passion for them but to pull them in to the details.
She had sent over some photos to showcase the inspiration behind her vision and we worked together to create some magic!
I hollowed out some of my vintage books to create my floral arrangements from and in the most unbelievable timing I had fell upon an irresistible deal on some vintage cameras that helped finish off the styling of this event.
Flowers used are Juliet Garden roses, seeded Eucalyptus, Ranunculus, Billy Balls, Succulents, brazilla berries and dusty miller.
These were my usual shots I always try and snag before leaving to set up. To view highlights from their day, please visit White Daisy Photography's beautiful images and see how gorgeous her long sleeve lace dress is!
Softly Stunning
This wedding is such a great example of how to achieve everything you want and how to fit within who you are as a couple. The wedding took place on a Wednesday in Yosemite National Park at The Ahwahnee Hotel . They had a total of 48 guests which was a perfect amount to create a warm and intimate ceremony and a nice a full Mural Room. Her floral choices were all colorless with using all white florals and various rich greens....fresh mints, mertle, passion vine, gardenia foliage and lemon leaves. The ceremony framing was created using just birch logs and lemon leaf garlands as well as the garland swags along the back row. Her bouquet was just a petite size bouquet utilizing all white ranunculus and gardenia foliage finished off with material from her dress. She found her glass candelabras at Crate and Barrel and pulled in some beautiful custom linens from Classic Party Rentals , Aurora Vanilla to show off the gorgeous texture and we accented each setting with a couple sprigs of mertle. Loved all of these simple elements to make this such a beautiful event!
Nery and Joe - Wedding and Beyond
We first got to see Nery and Joe's Engagement Session last spring which was already a year after the wedding! I tip my hat to bloggers and loyal website updaters around the world. Between being a mother of 3, having a wedding floral business and photography on the side, I've also began getting back in to some exercising with regular trips to the gym and a couple nights a week playing some slow pitch softball. There is rarely enough time to squeeze in my silly reality TV Shows. I get overwhelmed with which event to post first, which I'm working on submitting, working out where to apply my focus of entries, etc, so it isn't getting the attention that it deserves.
On the flip side, as time has passed, life goes on and new changes take place! Nery and Joe were married in May of 2010 at The Double T in Livingston. Coolest old cowboy town in this wild west! Here are a few images from this fun day along with the exciting next step in their lives.....baby time! They are due this fall with their first baby and are going to wait and see what they have!
